The Magic of Moderate Drinking

We want moderation to be aspirational and by challenging outdated perceptions, we are showing how you can have a great celebration while drinking responsibly.

Discover how by drinking better, not more, you can savour every moment and embrace the magic of moderation.

What is moderate drinking?

We are committed to changing the way the world drinks for the better by promoting moderation and addressing the harmful use of alcohol. This is a core pillar of our Spirit of Progress ESG action plan, we want to reach one billion people with messages of moderation by 2030.

Moderation encompasses a range of behaviours and choices. It is not only about choosing not to drink; it’s about making sensible choices when you do drink.

Check out our simple, yet effective tips on how to moderate when drinking alcohol:

Stay hydrated and drink water

Space out your alcoholic drinks with glasses of water.

Choose a non-alcoholic option

Enjoy a non-alcoholic version! Whether you’re choosing not to drink or mixing it up by switching between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, there are amazing non-alcoholic options available.

Did you know ‘Zebra Striping’ is the new trend for switching between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks? Check out our latest Gordon’s Pink moderation campaign to see how you can ‘Mix it Up’.

Perfect your pours

Don’t forget to use a jigger so you can keep track of the amount of alcohol in each serve.

Pause for food

Elevate your celebration with flavourful food. Great food not only enhances your drinks but also slows alcohol absorption.
