We’re redefining the boundaries of luxury whisky innovations and reimagining our brands from Johnnie Walker, The Singleton to Mortlach and Johnnie Walker XR. Local innovations like Johnnie Walker Blue Umami, Johnnie Walker Ice Chalet and The Singleton Golden Tresor, travel across the world to become global phenomena. Our efforts in developing the brand and innovation for our newest distillery in Dali, China, keeps us at the pulse of the whisky world, one step ahead of tomorrow.

North America Innovation

From creating Bulleit Single Malt and Crown Royal Single Malt, to Johnnie Walker Squid Games, Johnnie Walker Blue Label x Perfect Moment and Lagavulin Nick Offerman, our team has transformed our whiskey portfolio through innovations that are pushing our brands to new heights. Across other categories, our team has reimagined the future of tequila with Don Julio Alma Miel and Casamigas Jalapeno, shaped the growth of the convenience occasion with Captain Morgan Sliced and delighted consumers with offerings like Baileys Chocolate and Ciroc Limonata.

You'll envision how tomorrow's consumers will celebrate through both alcoholic and non-alcoholic premium beverages, testing, learning and ‘de-risking’ new ideas as we push the boundaries of how people socialise. At the heart, is building ‘new to the world’ solutions, introducing industry firsts and transforming consumer experiences that delight the world over. It’s the right way to move forward, particularly when it comes to sustainability - many of our new launches are tests of new capabilities for the industry.

Asia Pacific

In 2023, we proudly opened our cutting-edge R&D center in Shanghai, China — the world's largest beverage alcohol market in terms of value and volume. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to drive agile and exciting product innovations tailored to local consumer insights and tastes, bolstering our competitive edge.

As a part of our dynamic Shanghai R&D team, you'll collaborate with talented scientists and engineers to rapidly develop products that delight consumers across Greater China, Japan, Southeast Asia, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. You’ll also help us to create a future worth celebrating by pioneering innovative packaging solutions that will help to reduce our carbon footprint and align with our sustainable development priorities across the Asia Pacific region.

North America

Our Innovation Creation Lab based in Stamford, Connecticut, focuses on accelerating innovation. Our experienced liquid developers, packaging experts, and sensory and consumer guidance team all play an important role in translating insights and ideas into products, bringing their craft to life. Together, they create new products that delight consumers across North America and Latin America.

The team is deeply skilled in chemistry, sensory descriptive profiling, fermentation, distillation, blending, packaging materials and product research. It's the ideal environment for true collaboration and pushing the industry to new heights, so your opportunity to learn, grow and make your mark is endless.

Europe

Some of our most exciting liquid innovations in recent years shaping the future of how people across the world socialise have been created at our woodside Lab in London. From Tanqueray 0.0 to Guinness Nitrosurge, our team of innovators continue to push the boundaries to create new products, tastes, and experiences that existing and new consumers will love.

You'll have a wide variety of teams you can join in this centre: from liquid developers and packaging teams to sensory and consumer guidance teams. Regardless of which team you join, you'll play an important role in translating insights and ideas into products, shaping the future of our extraordinary brands.

Design

Design for our category is radically different to other consumer packaged goods. We dramatise the truths of our brands through beautiful ideas to create recognisable and adored icons. Design is a critical growth driver for us and the key way consumers instinctively understand our brands premium positioning.

As a Design team, we work closely with Global Brand Teams and Innovation to create a brand’s visual identity, from brand worlds and key brand assets to packaging and experiences. We partner with the world’s best designers, artists and brands to create distinctive work that is instantly understood and desired. We lead design thinking across areas such as Inclusive Design, Brand Experience Design and breakthrough concepts for glass lightweighting, such as Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ultra – the world’s lightest 70cl glass whisky bottle.

As part of our Design team, you’ll have worked extensively as a Designer, Creative Director and/or a Design Planner, bringing your extensive creative and industry expertise to bear. You’ll thrive when training, coaching, influencing and partnering with our brand teams and Innovation to raise our design capability and deliver truth, beauty and ideas.
