Now in my new role in Transformation Delivery, I’ve taken so much of which I gained on the Supply graduate programme and am able to help drive digital automation across the business. One of the many things I loved about the graduate scheme is the exposure to different areas and functions - when I first joined I would never have expected that I would end up being a manager on a big data transformation project, but I absolutely love it, I found my passion!

Since joining Diageo's Supply Chain Graduate Programme, my experience has been incredibly enriching. Based at one of our largest packaging plants in Leven, I’ve been exposed to a many different aspects of operations so I’m learning a lot. I've completed two rotations. In logistics, I gained insights into transport operations, order processing, and warehouse management. I also led projects in manufacturing, working directly with operators to understand daily tasks and KPIs. A highlight was leading a liquid waste project, supported by the line packaging manager, who also provided valuable soft skills training. While challenging to balance responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, it’s been rewarding to see tangible results and collaborate with teams to meet production goals. I’ve felt incredibly supported in my first projects, from setting goals and gaining traction, to leveraging other’s experiences and advice!

Since starting the Supply Chain Graduate Programme I’ve been able to develop my passion for sustainability and working towards achieving our 2030 Sustainability targets. In my first rotation, I worked on improving the recyclability of our packaging and, now in my third role, I help our sites reach net zero carbon emissions by supporting on CapEx projects. I’ve received great support from my colleagues, managers and mentors in each role, allowing me to learn while working on exciting projects.

I’ve had an exceptional journey, with diverse experiences. Across two locations and multiple functions, I met people who’ve helped me gain a comprehensive understanding of how our business operates end-to-end. I had the privilege of leading REACH (Race, Ethnicity, and Cultural Heritage), an employee resource group, managing activations and campaigns, and collaborating with executive teams on policies that make a difference. People make Diageo. I’ve made lifelong friends and received invaluable guidance from coaches and mentors. In 2023, I was nominated for ‘Women of the Future’ Award and I’ve won our Champions of Inclusion Awards consecutively. I now Manage our Audit, Risk, and Assurance across Global Technical Function, which brings new challenges and learnings. I’m looking forward to where the future takes me!
