Today, we publish our eighth gender pay gap report for Diageo Great Britain and Diageo Scotland.

At Diageo, our purpose is to ‘celebrate life, every day, everywhere’ – we want everyone to feel invited and included and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all our people can thrive – across our entire business, at every level, and in every location. We believe that inclusivity isn’t just the right thing to do, it is also good for business.

We are therefore delighted to publish our eighth gender pay gap report for Diageo Great Britain and Diageo Scotland.

We can report that our combined median hourly pay gap has decreased to -3.9% from -6.6% in 2023. This is significantly below the current Office for National Statistics figure of +13.1% for businesses in the United Kingdom. Our mean hourly pay gap has also narrowed from -12.9% last year to -11.1%.

In Great Britain, the number of female and male employees remains at 50/50 representation with females slightly higher than males for the first time since reporting began (50.3% female, 49.7% male).

We are proud of our progress on female representation across Diageo. As of 30 June 2024, 70% of our board is female and 46% of our leadership roles are women. We are delighted that Diageo has been recognised for our achievements as a leading company in gender equality. In this year’s FTSE Women Leaders Review, we ranked number one for female representation at Board Level, number four across leadership, and number one in our sector.

Whilst we celebrate where we are today, there is always more progress to be made and through our policies, practices, and philosophies, we are committed to shaping a more inclusive and successful long-term business and society.
