Celebrating the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla

5 May 2023

Justerini & Brooks was first granted a Royal Warrant after supplying wines for the Coronation of King George III in 1761. At its historic premises in the heart of St James’s in London, close to Buckingham Palace, Justerini & Brooks has unveiled a special Coronation window installation created by paper artist Andy Singleton, featuring an intricate design of a table set for a Coronation street party and streams of bunting.

Our Royal Lochnagar Distillery is honoured to have welcomed His Majesty The King, as Duke of Rothesay, on three official occasions, been granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth II, and has enjoyed an association with Balmoral, the Scottish home of the Royal Family, since a visit by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1848.

This week, Balmoral Castle & Estate released an exclusive Balmoral Coronation Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, drawn from specially selected casks from Royal Lochnagar, a mile from Balmoral, in recognition of The King’s long and fond association with Royal Deeside.

The first two bottles, in bespoke cases on plinths of Caledonian pine from the Balmoral Estate, were presented by Balmoral to HM The King and HRH The Prince William, Duke of Rothesay.  The final 100 of the 1000 individually numbered bottles of this limited edition (having sold out almost entirely online within a day), will go on sale at Balmoral this Saturday for the Coronation day celebrations.

PIMM’S, the quintessential British drink, has also released a limited-edition commemorative Coronation bottle to toast to the historic British moment. It features a crown-shaped illustration with Buckingham Palace at its heart, decked with purple and gold bunting and a banner proclaiming the PIMM’S Coronation Edition for 2023.

The PIMM’S Coronation Edition was served at the Royal Warrant Holders Association Annual Luncheon at Guildhall in London last week, where representatives from all of our Royal Warrant holding brands – Johnnie Walker, Justerini & Brooks, Pimm’s, Royal Lochnagar, Tanqueray & Gordon’s – were among the guests gathered in celelbration of the Coronation.

These limited-edition bottles, stories and images will join the treasured collections at the Diageo Archive, which date back to the early 19th century.

Cheers to Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla!
