Stephanie Childs is Executive Vice President, Corporate Relations, Diageo North America, a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer. In her role, she is part of the executive leadership team of Diageo’s market-leading North America business and supports a committed group of communications, government relations and social impact program professionals dedicated to making the world a better place. She sits on the Boards of the American Distilled Spirits Association, the British American Business Council and the Public Affairs Council, the leading professional development organization for corporate affairs experts. She is the executive sponsor of Diageo’s African American employee business resource group.

Prior to joining Diageo, Stephanie served as Vice President, Global Government Relations, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a leader in personal care products and professional cleaning supplies. At K-C, Stephanie was recognized for her dedication to leading with purpose, integrating social impact programming into public policy initiatives. She was awarded the Tom Mielke award for outstanding caring leadership and the General Counsel’s award for transformative leadership.

Stephanie has extensive executive experience in the public and private sectors, including as Vice President, Federal Government Relations for PepsiCo and Vice President of Global Government Affairs for the multinational IT services company, Cognizant Technology Solutions. She also led the government relations organization of the United States Postal Service, the largest postal service in the world, and served as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for International Trade at the United States Department of Commerce.

After graduating law school, Stephanie worked at the US Senate Judiciary Committee and in the White House Office of Special Messages and Correspondence. She earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Virginia. The proud mother of two young adults, she lives in her hometown of Washington, DC.
