Lisa Hageman is General Counsel for Diageo North America and leads the North American legal team which is responsible for advising the business on all legal matters affecting the company. In addition, she is an active member of the North American executive leadership team and holds the current position as the executive sponsor of Diageo NA’s Business Resource Group, Build Your Own Brand (BYOB). BYOB aims to equip Diageo employees with meaningful tools to maximize their development journey and to strengthen one’s unique professional branding.

Previous to this, she was responsible for oversight of the legal M&A function for Diageo PLC on a global basis, and, together with her team, provided legal and strategic advice and guidance to Diageo's global and regional executives on M&A related matters. These matters included Diageo's acquisitions, dispositions, investments, joint ventures and other partnerships, as well as long-term distribution arrangements. Lisa has also provided general commercial counseling to the North American business throughout her career at Diageo and has held various positions at Diageo of increasing responsibility, initially supporting the North American business, and then moving to more global roles supporting Diageo's active M&A agenda both internationally and in the United States. Prior to joining Diageo Lisa was in private practice at Sullivan & Cromwell in both their London and Los Angeles offices.

Lisa is a member of the New York Bar and the California Bar and is authorized to practice in Connecticut as in-house counsel. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. She currently resides in Connecticut with her family.
