Job Title: Tax Reporting Junior Analyst
Contract: permanent
Location: Budapest
About the role
A vital role within the international tax group for the completion of our external reporting obligations with respect to both Tax Reporting and CARM obligations.
This role involves collaborating with colleagues both in Global Tax but also the Group reporting and statutory reporting functions and the Global Outsourcing Partner (EY)
This role maintains a very close working relationship alongside compliance teams in the global tax area, market finance teams, and includes wide exposure across the entire global tax function (engaging with business partners, local tax managers, compliance teams, and all directors).
It is responsible for the reporting of the PYA and P09 numbers of the RoW Diageo entities with lower or medium complexity which requires cross border management of various Global Tax Teams and finance team as well.
It also includes responsibility for improving, standardizing and automating these processes for the organizations covered by this role.
This role requires:
- Working with a number of teams including within the international tax function, within Global Tax COE, with global tax outsource partner.
- Proactive thinking to identify ways to consistently deliver improvement of performance and the aim to put those changes in place.
- Continuous improvements of the GOP reporting framework and developing and delivering the standardization and automation agenda of reporting for the entities in scope
- Understanding of needs of stakeholders and effective and timely stakeholder management.
Role Responsibilities
- Supporting senior specialists and junior managers to produce prior year tax adjustments and P09 reports on time and accurately. This work covers non-complex RoW entities and follows IFRS standards and consolidated reporting guidelines.
- Preparing non-complex return to reporting reconciliations, managing and maintaining deferred tax reconciliation and calculation schedules
- Supporting the P09 and P12 external group tax reporting process
Experience / skills required
- Diploma on finance or accounting, 0-2 years of finance experience
- Interest and motivation to develop strong technical accounting skills with an excellent understanding of IFRS
- Good communication and influencing skills that facilitate effective networking and relationship building with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Good judgement
- Imaginative problem solver capable of devising solutions to sophisticated issues
