Irish Brand Homes is Diageo’s Premier collection of Visitor Experiences in Ireland where our world Class teams share the stories of our brands to all our guests. The largest brand home, the Guinness Storehouse anchors the St James Gate campus with the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and the Roe & Co Whiskey Distillery as neighbours whilst our Smithwick’s Experience takes pride of place on the site of the original Smithwick’s Brewery in Kilkenny. Each of our brand homes include a visitor experience, World Class Bars, Restaurants and retail stores.
The role
We’re looking for a motivated and thorough Financial Specialist to support our Commercial Finance Manager and play a key role in strengthening our finance operations. This role offers hands-on responsibility in month-end reporting, credit control, purchasing, and continuous improvement projects, giving you a strong platform for professional development in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control (Journals & Reconciliations Focus)
This role is central to the month-end close process, with a strong focus on journal ownership and balance sheet integrity.
Own and deliver month-end journal postings (revenue, COGS, overheads, stock) in line with WD2 deadlines
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strong financial control
Support monthly Management Accounts, reporting, and performance analysis
Reconcile revenue and cash/card transactions across systems
Provide day-to-day finance support to partners and build strong business relationships
Accounts Receivable & Payable
Run the debtor ledger, including collections and aged debt reporting
Supervise end-to-end AR processes (invoicing, allocations, reconciliations)
Lead the AP process and PO cycle, supporting budget owners and ensuring compliance
Handle key supplier accounts and P-card transactions
Continuous Improvement & Control
Drive improvements in processes and financial controls
Support audit requirements and compliance initiatives
Partner with stakeholders on cost control and financial discipline
Contribute to systems and process enhancements
About You
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
5+ years of experience in a hands-on, analytical finance/accounting role
Strong practical experience in month-end close activities, with a particular focus on journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Confident in preparing and reviewing P&L elements, with a solid understanding of how they link to the balance sheet
Good working knowledge of cash processes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable cycles
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and high numerical accuracy
Advanced Excel skills and overall strong systems affinity
Comfortable working with both internal stakeholders and external partners
Experience in a multi-site, retail, or visitor-experience environment is a plus
