About You
The Commercial Finance Manager acts as the primary business partner of the Commercial and Marketing Teams. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that they work towards agreed plans and objectives and provide guidance in matters pertaining to financial soundness of plans and compliance.
Function
The Finance team is central to the delivery of key business objectives and targets across the P&L, Balance Sheet and broader external market share. The members of the team are respected business partners to their stakeholders inside and outside of the function, and work as part of a cross-functional team to help shape the future of Diageo Korea.
About the Role
The Commercial Finance Manager is a critical strategic partner to the Commercial and Marketing teams, as well as to the Finance Director. This role plays a key part in driving profitable growth by providing data-driven insights, shaping commercial decisions, and ensuring disciplined investment governance.
You will lead financial evaluation of customers, channels, and brands, embedding a strong ROI mindset across trade investment and A&P spend. The role requires close cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Marketing, Supply, and Finance to optimize performance and deliver sustainable value creation.
This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape key commercial decisions in one of Diageo’s most dynamic markets.
Main Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to drive profitable growth, providing actionable financial insights and challenge where appropriate
Lead customer, channel and category profitability analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and performance improvement actions
Drive trade investment and A&P effectiveness, including pre- and post-investment ROI analysis and optimization
Support financial planning cycles (AOP, forecasts, LE), ensuring robust assumptions and alignment with business strategy
Work with FP&A team to deliver monthly performance reporting, including variance analysis vs. AOP/forecast and clear articulation of risks and opportunities
Develop and maintain value chain analysis across channels, categories, and brands to support strategic decision-making
Evaluate pricing strategies, promotions, and innovation performance, providing recommendations to maximize returns
Collaborate with Tax and Financial Control teams on intercompany pricing reviews and compliance matters
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement and best practices in commercial finance processes, tools, and reporting
Build strong cross-functional relationships to influence decision-making and elevate financial discipline across the business
Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages
Minimum 7+ years of experience in finance function, ideally within FMCG or a multinational environment
Proven experience in business partnering and influencing with sales, marketing and supply chain functions, at least 3+ years of experience
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills - Advanced Excel required; Power BI or similar tools preferred
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decision-making
Strong commercial acumen with a holistic, value-driven mindset
Structured problem-solver with the ability to simplify complexity into clear insights
Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
Fluent in English
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. MBA or professional accounting qualification is a plus
