AVP – GBO Finance Business Partner

About the role:
Role Purpose
Act as a strategic finance partner to business leadership, providing financial expertise, insights, and mentorship to drive performance and support delivery of business strategy.
This role requires a high degree of independence, strong commercial competence, and the ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights. The successful candidate will proactively engage stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and give to improving business outcomes, processes, and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
·Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategy execution and drive financial performance
·Lead financial planning processes including AOP, forecasts, and long-range plans
·Provide insightful analysis and recommendations on key financial metrics
·Interpret internal and external business trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas
·Act as a trusted advisor, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights
·Drive financial governance, controls, and compliance aligned with company policies
·Lead or chip in to projects with moderate complexity, risk, and business impact
·Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders to achieve department and business objectives
·Continuously improve processes, reporting, and decision-support frameworks

·Operates as an independent contributor with strong ownership and accountability
·Uses analytical thinking, tools, and judgement to tackle moderatelysophisticatedx business problems
·Influences decision-making across teams through clear communication and strong collaborator management

Skills & Experience
· proven ability in finance, with strong exposure to finance business partnering / FP&A
· Proven track record to interpret business challenges and provide financial recommendations
·Strong commercial competence with understanding of business drivers and market dynamics
·Excellent collaborator management and negotiation/influencing skills
·Strong analytical capability with ability to translate data into insights
·Experience working in dynamic, matrixed environments
Qualifications
·CA / CMA or equivalent preferred
