Job Description

Job Title: Sales Projects and Systems Manager

Reports To: EDGE Commercial Lead

Context/Scope:

This role is within the Demand Sales business. The role will be critical to the overall KBL short-, medium- and long-term strategy in developing and driving our trade strategy and operational excellence within retail outlets and distributors.

The role also partners closely with global and local participants to define country requirements and translate them into user stories. It provides ongoing training and upskilling to support sustained user capability and readiness.

Role Overview

This role functions within a flexible project environment to maintain sprint and daily delivery schedules. It ensures timely, full outcomes while partnering with distributors on system setup and optimization.

It owns end-to-end adoption, performance, and stability of EDGE, 365 DMS and TRAX, including KPI tracking and reporting, system deployment, troubleshooting, and ensuring measurable business outcomes while ensuring stakeholder management both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

EDGE 365 DMS & TRAX Product Owner

  • Partner with distributors and markets on system setup, optimization, and ongoing readiness activities.
  • Operate within an agile project framework, managing day-to-day sprint activities to ensure on-time, in-full delivery on system updates or changes.
  • Own adoption, performance, and stability of EDGE 365 DMS and TRAX, including deployment, troubleshooting, and end-to-end system functionality.
  • Track, report, and drive local and global KPIs to deliver measurable, assignable business outcomes aligned to Internal Business Objectives (IBOs).
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and commercial data teams to define country requirements, convert them into user stories, and deliver continuous training and upskilling.

Commercial Performance Dashboards Data

  • Own accountability for data accuracy and correct mapping to user profiles across the platform.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of EDGE 365 DMS inputs to support reliable and representative dashboard reporting.
  • Partner with Governance and Commercial Operations teams to incorporate system and data requirements into dashboards, ensuring optimization, completeness, and business relevance.
  • Collaborate with Commercial eB2C and Digital Communications teams to track and monitor key KPIs and measure overall success.

Communication and Change Management

  • Lead and execute all change management initiatives for the EDGE outlet execution commercial program in Kenya, driving sustained adoption of key commercial platforms.
  • Develop and deliver tailored change strategies and execution plans in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and global stakeholders.
  • Drive market engagement and communication through content, presentations, and in-market/global visibility to showcase EDGE program success.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve change programs, building capability and capacity across teams to ensure long-term effectiveness and optimized system usage.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or I.T.
  • Project Management and agile working methodology.
  • Strong understanding of field sales, sales operations, and commercial analytics, with hands-on experience working in a data-driven or analytics environment.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and visualization tools, including SQL, advanced Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex systems and datasets accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence across functions and levels.
