About the Role

Job Title: Executive -Quality Assurance

Level: 6

Current Sub-Level:6 (6C)

Qualifications and Experience Required:

·Graduate/Postgraduate in chemistry/Biotechnology/Food Technology/Microbiology/DIFAT

Experience:

··Minimum 0-2 years’ experience in FMCG (Brewery/Beverage/ food/distillery or in Laboratory Management /QA/QC role) 

·Hands on experience in titration / analysis / evaluation techniques.

·Hands on experience in handling lab equipment and its maintenance and calibration

· Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

··Exposure in FSMS/IMS systems Hands on experience in Spirit processing and bottling.

Context/Scope: This role primarily focuses on practical, day-to-day tasks related to Quality Assurance, ensuring that products meet defined quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory compliance.

Purpose of Position:

The prime function of this role is to:

Support the QA Head in the effective functioning of the QA department in alignment with defined quality systems.

• Evaluate incoming raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

• Conduct routine testing of processed and incoming goods.

• Calibrate and maintain inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.

• Ensure raw and packaging materials meet defined standards.

• Perform monthly quality trend analysis and drive improvement actions.

• Utilize statistical tools to evaluate trends and ensure consistency in quality.

• Ensure proper FSMS and IMS documentation.

• Conduct line inspections and ensure SOP compliance.

• Maintain lab records and documentation in accordance with ISO, FSSAI, and Excise standards.

• Assist with chemical and microbiological sampling and analysis.

• Support regulatory audits and inspections by maintaining accurate documentation.

• Escalate deviations and non-conformities to seniors promptly.

·Compliance Decisions: Ensuring all products compliance with relevant legislation and internal quality standards.

·Quality Improvement Initiatives: Identifying areas for improvement in product quality and implementing initiatives to enhance food safety and quality across the supply chain.

·Training Programs: Execution of training programs for employees as per defined standard and calendar.

·Incident Management: Highlight the incidents or breaches of quality standards, including reporting through established channels like line managers or business integrity teams.

Recommendations Expected

·       Understand and implement Quality Assurances standards at unit.

·       Understand and meets audit requirements.

·       Regular interaction with internal stakeholders like production manager, Supply chain and external stakeholders like vendors.

Financial Accountability (Budget/Revenue)

Budget Management: Ensure activities are conducted within allocated QA budgets.

Cost Efficiency: Optimize resources without compromising quality.

Revenue Protection: Maintain product quality to avoid losses from recalls or regulatory issues.

Investment in Systems: Utilize resources for system improvements to enhance food safety and quality.

Market/Function Complexity:

Upholding Standards: Follow and implement Manex standards.

Performance Management: Track KPIs and drive corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement: Embrace change and constantly look for improvement opportunities.

Leadership Responsibilities.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:

·       Blueprint strategy, code of conduct and Safety policy at market/site.

·       Ensure that any improvements implemented are standardized and sustained within operational teams.

·       Engage with the Daily Operational Review meetings to provide expert analysis of performance and improvement opportunities.

·       On call to respond to emergencies at the plant.

·       Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory and process control procedures and standards to drive food safety and quality goals to drive end to end customer satisfaction.

·       Execute activities related to HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO 45001, IMS and EHS. Ensuring systems are maintained and drive improvements in area of accountability, including participation in audits.
