We’ve launched Distilled 2025 - our annual Consumer Trends Report.
In Thailand, we've teamed up with an unusual partner who has found an innovative use for empty Johnnie Walker bottles: orchid cultivation.
It turns out that the iconic shape of the Johnnie Walker bottle makes it ideal for parts of the orchid growing process. So, since September 2019, we've sent more than 5,000 empty bottles to the Bangkok Flower Centre, where expert growers use them to house orchid tissue cultures.
By ensuring the bottles get a second life with more great contents, we're tackling the problem of empty bottles being collected and used by counterfeiters. And it plays a part in our global drive to make sure more of our packaging is recycled or reused - a key element of our ambitions for sustainable packaging.
