“We all have a role to play for the environment. We need to look after the world we live in.”

At Diageo, we are accelerating our path to a low carbon world, with the overall ambition of reaching net zero carbon across our operations by 2030. This is why at our distillery in Royal Lochnagar, we have been using a by-product of rapeseed oil, otherwise known as the fuel for our boiler, in order to reduce the cleaning water temperatures and consequently, allow us to use less water, not putting any noxious gases into the atmosphere and become completely carbon neutral.

The planet needs significant science-based action to create a sustainable low-carbon future, so we are committed to decarbonising our own operations and working with our suppliers on renewable energy solutions in order to achieve our ambition.

Hear from our Distillery Manager, Sean Phillips, to see the story of our progress at our site in Royal Lochnagar, Scotland.
