WE ARE DIAGEO: EMMA FLETCHER SYNC EMMA FLETCHER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER There are a few reasons why I was originally drawn to Diageo but the most important one was the people and the culture. I felt and instant connection and I still feel that connection today. It is what gets me out of bed in the morning. SYNC EMMA FLETCHER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER No one day is the same in field sales which is why I love it so much. Typically I spend about an hour in the morning, planning and preparing for sales calls. I check in with my line manager and I hit the road. I visit around 7 to 8 customers throughout the day. So that is bottle shops, pubs and bars. SYNC EMMA FLETCHER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER And in the afternoon I will follow up on orders that came throughout the day and put things together like promotional programmes for my customers SYNC EMMA FLETCHER BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Before I started my job search I knew I wanted to work for a company that would provide me with a great foundation for my career. I knew nothing about sales when I started at Diageo but I received a combination of on the job training and formal workshops as well and that has ensured that I feel really supported in my role as well and that has enabled me to succeed and I continue to succeed because of it.
