World Class the world's biggest bartender competition begins!

Feature

Last night (Sunday 20th August), fifty-five of the best bartenders in the industry landed in Mexico City to compete in the WORLD CLASS finals, the world’s biggest bartending competition.

Over the next four days the bartenders will face the toughest of challenges, from making show-stopping creations that will shape the future of cocktail culture to shaking off their competition in the knockout Lucha Libre cocktail challenge.

With all competing for the title of World Class Bartender of the Year, each challenger is armed with the world’s finest luxury spirits including Johnnie Walker, Cîroc, Ketel One vodka, Tanqueray No. TEN, Zacapa, Bulleit, Don Julio, and a fine collection of single malts, ready to create what they hope is their stand-out cocktail. Prepare for mixology like never before as crowds gather to witness the biggest week in the bartender calendar. All competition challenges will be live streamed, so tune in to watch the action at www.theworldclassclub.com

This is the ninth year we’ve run this competition and, if the past eight years are anything to go by, we’re set for a week of some of the most incredible cocktail making, all within one of the most vibrant cities in the world - Mexico City.

“The cocktail revolution is booming and these bartenders are leading the way. Expect to see the pinnacle of bartending creations and new trends which will set the cocktail agenda for months and years to come.”

World Class is an initiative created to inspire people to drink better and shape the future of drinking – whether in a bar or at home. In nine years, more than 300,000 bartenders have been trained, educated and inspired by World Class.
