Tanqueray and Ketel One toast the best in the business at the World's 50 Best Bars Awards

Now in its ninth year, The World’s 50 Best Bars ceremony showcases a ranking of bars as voted for by more than 500 drinks experts from across the globe.


On Thursday 5th October, bartenders from around the world arrived at Southwark Cathedral, London to celebrate this year's World's 50 Best Bar Awards - revealing the ultimate guide to the world’s top bars. 

London's American Bar remained in the spotlight, winning the trophy for Europe’s Best Bar before going on to win the top award on the night – the World’s Best Bar - presented by Tanqueray, the bartender’s favourite gin.

Bob Nolet, 11th generation master distiller at the Nolet Distillery, presented Carla Soares of ATLAS, Singapore with the trophy for Highest New Entry in this year’s top 50. The category is sponsored by Ketel One Vodka and is awarded to the highest-ranking bar that has entered the list for the first time.

With recent trends pointing to the fact that consumers are looking for quality - these bars are the top destinations for a luxury drinking experience, where the best bartenders in the world create incredible cocktail concoctions.
