Hip Hip Hooray! Celebrating at the Patron’s Lunch on Her Majesty The Queen’s official 90th birthday weekend

Pimms celebration near Buckingham Palace

We were one of five official partners of the The Patron’s Lunch, a celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s patronage of over 600 charities and organisations. The spectacular event this Sunday 12th June will be the culmination of Her Majesty’s official birthday weekend, following a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Friday and Trooping the Colour on Saturday.

The Patron’s Lunch will see The Mall in London, which runs from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square, transformed for its largest ever street party - 10,000 guests, mostly representing the ‘Patron’s Organisations’ - as a public thank you to Her Majesty for such devoted service and support over her 63-year reign.

Royal Warrant holder and British summertime favourite Pimm’s, together with drinks from our three other Royal Warrant holding brands – gins from Tanqueray Gordon & Co, Johnnie Walker Blended Scotch Whiskies, and wine and champagne from Justerini & Brooks - will be served to guests on The Mall and be available to the crowds joining the festivities in the surrounding Royal Parks.

It is hoped that people the length and breadth of the UK and across the Commonwealth will bring out their picnic tables for street parties too, and Pimm’s, mixed with lemonade, strawberries, cucumber and mint, will be the order of the day to toast Her Majesty The Queen.
