Diageo ranked second in the 2019 Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index

We have been named amongst the top 25 most diverse and inclusive companies for a fourth consecutive year in the 2019 Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index – improving on our 4th place ranking in 2018.

We are delighted to be recognised as the second most diverse and inclusive workplace in the 2019 Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index (previously the Thomson Reuters Diversity & Inclusion Index). The ranking is a recognition of our ongoing commitment to championing diversity and inclusion within our business and beyond.

In the inaugural list, launched in 2016, we were ranked 11th and our strong progress in improving inclusion and diversity within the workplace has seen our position improve every year.

Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index methodology

Over 7,000 listed companies are analysed as part of The Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index process, to identify the top 100 publicly traded companies with the most diverse and inclusive workplaces.

These companies are ranked based on a set of 24 separate diversity and inclusion metrics. Each of these metrics reside in one of the four Diversity & Inclusion ‘pillars’ – ‘Diversity,’ ‘Inclusion,’ ‘People Development’ and ‘Controversies.’
