Diageo brands celebrated in the 2018 Grocer Drinks Awards
Diageo brands have been toasted for yet another year at The Grocer Drinks Awards, revealed this week. Winning gold in the ‘low alcohol’ category was Gordon’s Ultra Low Alcohol Gin & Tonic flavoured drink, with Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla, Baileys Almande and Haig Club Clubman also picking up awards.

Diageo brands were highly commended, taking gold and silver awards in a number of categories including low alcohol, whisky, liqueur and gin in the 2018 Grocer Drinks Awards. Judged by a panel of consumers and drinks experts, the awards celebrate the best across the industry.

Gordon’s Ultra Low Alcohol Gin & Tonic flavoured drink - with a hint of grapefruit
Gordon’s Ultra Low Alcohol Gin & Tonic flavoured drink took the top prize for the ‘low alcohol’ category. Launched this summer, the new product offers a low ABV gin alternative with all the depth of flavour and complexity of a classic Gordon’s Gin and Tonic.

Haig Club Clubman
Haig Club Clubman was awarded silver in the whisky category this year. Designed to be different, Haig Club puts a modern, stylish twist on the traditions of whisky – from the unique way the liquid has been crafted to the distinctive blue bottles to the iconic global partnership with David Beckham.

Baileys Almande
Baileys Almande picked up silver in the liqueur category at the awards. A delicious and light tasting spirit from Baileys made with real almondmilk, this variant is gluten and dairy free.

Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla
This summer also saw the launch for Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla, a unique distilled gin made with Sevilla orange and other fine botanicals. The brand was awarded silver in this year’s gin category.
