Celebrating inclusivity throughout Pride month, our employee led, European Rainbow network transformed our London HQ into a Hub branded ‘INC’ during Pride month, celebrating inclusion and diversity and raising the profile of LGBT issues for employees. In a series of celebratory events, lively debates and TED-style talks sponsored by Smirnoff, we were joined by notable speakers including figures from organisations sharing their views on unconscious bias, gender equality, disability, and flexible working, and representatives from London PRIDE and OUTstanding.
Andrew Porter, Leader of Diageo’s Rainbow Network in Europe commented:
‘Bringing people together with the common purpose of making our business as inclusive as possible is something I’m hugely passionate about. Helping to shape our Pride Week inclusion event – INC. – has been a fantastic experience, and we’ve run a brilliant programme of events that were thought provoking, informative and inspiring. I am really proud of the Diageo Rainbow Network and all the people in the wider business who have united to make this possible.’
We continue to create a culture that is purposeful and celebrates diversity within the company and across our brands. The Rainbow Network has already established INC chapters across Europe in London, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Budapest and Smirnoff is supporting PRIDE 2017 through the #chooselove campaign that takes a stand against LGBT prejudice online, with artists responding to online hate with messages of support and love. Smirnoff also teamed up with the New York Pride March, championing inclusivity.
