Founded in 1794, the distillery is the heart of the town. In fact, there wouldn’t have been an Oban town if it weren’t for entrepreneurial brothers Hugh and John Stevenson.
But it was the improvements of J. Walter Higgin which put Oban Single Malt Scotch Whisky in a different league.
