Q. Why has it been important for you to join the D&T Graduate scheme?

Being part of Diageo’s D&T graduate scheme has been an incredible opportunity to explore, grow, and contribute to a global business. Coming from a Business Studies background, I wasn’t sure how I’d fit into a digital/tech-focused role, but the programme has allowed me to dive into diverse areas of the business—from ESG and SAP transformation to identity and access management and experience design.

Q. What’s the graduate programme experience been like so far?

Over three years, I’ve worked across London and Budapest, gaining hands-on experience in various teams and building a global network. A standout moment has been the immersion weeks, where we explored how D&T drives business outcomes. Visiting Scotland’s supply sites for a change management session and seeing on- and off-trade operations in action gave me a deeper appreciation for how we leverage technology to make easier, and better business decisions. One key takeaway from my journey is understanding that people, processes, and technology are the three most critical elements for success. Getting all three aligned is the foundation for driving real business impact and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Q. What other opportunities have you had whilst on the scheme?

I’ve also been deeply involved in the Women in Tech (WIT) community, connecting women across Diageo, hosting events, and organising leadership panels to foster inclusivity and break down barriers. These experiences have reinforced how our values come to life every day.

Q. Best tip for someone who’s thinking about a career in digital and technology?

For anyone curious about D&T, I’d say this: you don’t need a technical degree—just a willingness to learn. This program has been more than a job; it’s been a platform to grow, explore, and make a real impact!
