Launched in 2020 by Diageo Brazil, the "Programa Origens" is an initiative to attract, hire and generate more opportunities for black and indigenous people and increase their representation within the region. The program focuses on hiring people belonging to these groups who have graduated or are undergoing training at any higher education institution, without the need to know the English language. To support their on-going professional development, we provide English language lessons, various capability courses to upskill functional expertise and mentoring opportunities.

In the last year, through our partnership with 99 jobs we have seen more than 25 people join us through the program, and are now working closely with each employee to accelerate their career growth and help them reach their fullest potential.

Helping to provide opportunities for diverse talent with a range of backgrounds, skills and capabilities is just one way we are championing inclusion and diversity across our business and working towards achieving our ambition to increase representation of leaders from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
