Diageo Scotland

Diageo has a rich Scottish heritage and our roots in Scotland can be traced back to 1627 and the Haig family – the oldest family of Scotch Whisky distillers.

Since then, Scotland has played a critical role in shaping the company we are today and remains pivotal to our continued success.

Scotland is where we make many of our famous brands to export around the world and where we are making a long term investment to increase our capacity and meet global demand. Scotland is where our 4,000 staff work in around 50 sites up and down the country. And it’s the home of many of our top quality tourist attractions including the world famous Gleneagles Hotel, venue for the Ryder Cup in 2014.

Together, the spirit brands we make in Scotland generate over £3bn worth of revenue each year. In fact, Diageo is Scotland’s top manufacturing exporter.

For over 380 years Scotland’s pioneering spirit has influenced Diageo’s business by taking the best of Scotland to the rest of the world. Today, by selling premium, Scottish-made brands in over 180 countries, Diageo continues to put Scottish quality on a global stage.

Now, as then, we are delivering for Scotland.
