This special Cuervo recipe combines the flavours of triple sec and lime with premium quality Cuervo Especial tequila for the distinctive taste of a margarita.

Diageo distributes Jose Cuervo tequila, ready to serve, and/or margarita mix products in certain countries on behalf of Tequila Cuervo La Rojena S.A de C.V. and Tequila Cuervo S.A. de C.V., the trademark owners of the Jose Cuervo brand for these products in the United States and rest of the world, respectively, and on behalf of other Cuervo affiliates.

The world's number one selling tequila is made from agave – a large blue plant that resembles a cactus. The Cuervo story dates back to 1758 when the King of Spain granted José Antonia de Cuervo land in Mexico to cultivate agave. The family heritage continues today and every bottle evokes Cuervo's liveliness and passion.

Facts: The story behind this legendary tequila begins in 1795, when the King of Spain granted José Antonio de Cuervo the first licence to produce tequila commercially. In 1812, Fabrica La Rojeña, the oldest spirits distillery in Latin America, opened its doors.
