Guinness Surger - The revolutionary new beer gadget

28 February 2006

Europe

The creators of the award winning widget, Guinness &Co, have once again transformed the at home beer drinking experience with the launch of a revolutionary new gadget, the Guinness® Surger®.

Fans of Guinness Draught believe 'Good things come to those who wait', and love to watch the transformation when a pint of Guinness Draught dramatically turns from brown to black topped with a tight creamy white head.  The new Guinness Surger is the ultimate gadget for Guinness lovers who want to create this surge and settle magic at home, and enjoy a smooth creamy Guinness Draught.

While Guinness is sold in 150 countries, Brits are the biggest consumers of the black stuff, so the Guinness Surger is set to take off in homes across the UK.  Whether relaxing in front of the TV after work or watching the rugby with a group of mates at the weekend, Guinness Surger adds excitement and theatre to that Guinness moment.

Guinness Surger works using ultra-sonic technology.  At the touch of a button, the Surger sends an ultra-sonic pulse through the pint glass, releasing the gases in the Guinness beer, which then settles into the velvet pint with creamy head.  Guinness Draught Surger beer is made to exactly the same Guinness Draught recipe, but with a different gas mix.  While the widget delivers the gases in regular canned Guinness Draught, the Surger works its magic to activate the gas within the beer.

This easy to use technology creates a great looking and tasting Guinness everytime.  Guinness Surger starter kits (Surger unit, 2 x 520ml cans and a pint glass) will be available from 27th February 2006 in select Tesco supermarkets across the country.  For stockists call 08457 882277.  RRSP £16.99 for the starter kit.  The special Guinness Draught Surger beer will be sold in 4-packs RRSP £4.99.
