Dividend information

main content

Dividends on the ordinary shares are normally paid twice a year: an interim dividend in April and a final dividend in October. The approximate split between the two payments is 40:60.

You can choose whether to take your dividends in cash or to reinvest them in ordinary shares under the company’s dividend reinvestment plan ("DRIP").

Dividend reinvestment

The Bank of New York operates a GlobalBuyDIRECT plan for Diageo's ADR programme. The GlobalbuyDIRECT plan is a direct share purchase and dividend reinvestment plan for ADR investors who reside in the US and Canada. The plan allows existing shareholders the convenience of reinvesting all or a portion of their cash dividends with reduced transaction costs.

The GlobalBuyDIRECT plan is sponsored and administered by Diageo's depositary bank, The Bank of New York. Diageo has consented to the composition of the plan, but does not, and should not be deemed to, sponsor or administer the GlobalBuyDIRECT plan. Diageo assumes no obligation or liability for the operation of the GlobalBuyDIRECT plan.

You can link from here to The Bank of New York ADR web site for further information relating to the GlobalBuyDIRECT plan or call the GlobalBuyDIRECT hotline on +1-800-345-1612
