Where we produce our brands
Diageo Australia currently operates two production facilities - Huntingwood in New South Wales, and the Bundaberg Distilling Company in Queensland.
Bundaberg Distilling Company
Bundaberg Rum is the company’s largest core brand and the flagship of Diageo Australia, representing 32 per cent of company profits and selling an average of more than 24,000 standard drinks every hour. The Bundaberg Distilling Company began producing Bundaberg Rum in 1888, using the tremendous volume of molasses from the region’s sugar cane to create the brand’s distinctive taste.
Today, the distillery produces a range of products including Bundaberg Rum UP, Bundaberg Rum Black, Bundaberg Rum Liqueur, Bundaberg Rum OP, white rum and base spirit.
Huntingwood
Diageo Australia’s Huntingwood facility centralises most of our supply operations. From this production hub we operate our warehouse, customer service and distribution centre. More than 140 employees work at this site, which is capable of operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week when required. A lot happens at Huntingwood:
- Full strength and ready-to-drink products are manufactured, bottled and packaged.
- Australian and imported products are stored and distributed
- New products are developed
- Bulk spirits are formulated and bottled
- Quality control is carried out on all products, whether produced in Australia or overseas
Accounting, procurement and supply planning management teams are based at Huntingwood, as is our Customer Service Centre, which liaises with our direct, wholesale, and export customers.
