Management and Governance

Sustainability is an essential part of our success - so our Sustainability & Responsibility Strategy is embedded at the highest level in our business.

Our CEO, Ivan Menezes and his Executive Committee are ultimately accountable for performance against sustainability and responsibility goals. Much of our work takes place at the local/market level and therefore our regional presidents and general managers have front-line responsibility. The markets are supported by Executive Committee members representing global functions as outlined in the table below.

Monitoring the strategy

General managers monitor performance in their local market on a routine basis. In December 2014 we will be launching a new set of social and environmental targets, which will be monitored by this group. The Executive Committee meets to discuss global strategy, performance, policies, and risks twice a year. The Board signs off any changes to our Sustainability & Responsibility Strategy at Diageo's annual Strategy Conference.
